Nadia Ilves writes science fiction about the people who live inside machines — pilots, technicians, the crews who stay behind when the heroic departures are over. Trained as an aerospace engineer in Tartu and currently based in Tallinn, she is interested in failure modes, long silences, and what endures when the instruments stop working.
