The reader is what you see when you open a story. It paginates the
chapter into pages so you turn pages instead of scrolling — most
readers find this less fatiguing for long sessions.
Turning pages
- Click or tap the right edge of the page to go forward.
- Click or tap the left edge to go back.
- Keyboard: <kbd>→</kbd> next, <kbd>←</kbd> previous, <kbd>Esc</kbd> to leave the reader.
- Touch: swipe left/right.
Progress
Your position (chapter + page) is saved automatically every time you
turn a page. Resume a story from your library or by opening it again
from the discover page.
Reading settings
Click the gear icon at the top of the reader to open your reading
settings without leaving the chapter. The same controls live at
/profile/reader-settings:
- Font — Serif, Sans, or Dyslexia.
- Text size — a −/+ stepper from 14 px to 22 px.
- Line spacing — Compact, Normal, or Relaxed.
Colour is a separate choice: pick a theme at
/profile/theme. Full detail in

What's saved across devices
- Reading progress and completion state.
- Favourites and follows.
- Your reading settings and your theme — they travel with your account.
One thing does not travel: your position inside a narration. Reading
position syncs; audio resume position doesn't. See
