Choosing a theme
Open Profile → Theme (/profile/theme) and pick a
reading theme. Your choice applies across the app, and you can change it
whenever you like.
The animated background
On the default theme, the web version shows a gently animated
night-sky background behind the app — a subtle, slow-moving backdrop that
adapts to light and dark. It's there to be calming, never distracting, and
it stays out of the way while you read. Other themes use their own plain
backdrop instead.
If you prefer less movement, OutaStory honours your device's
reduced-motion setting.
