For publishers
A digital home for stories — and a partner for what reading becomes next.
Thinking about the future of reading?
OutaStory is a digital reading platform for stories — vibrant, multilingual and close to its readers. If you are a publisher who wants to keep the printed book at the heart of what you do while exploring where digital reading is heading, we are a natural place to experiment.
We are a platform, not a competing publishing house. We do not acquire catalogues or edit content. Instead we connect writers, readers and partners around stories, and we offer a way to bring both new and previously published works to a digital, multilingual audience.
A modern reading platform, not a publishing house
OutaStory delivers stories digitally — as beautifully typeset text and as audio narrated by high-definition neural voices — to readers in the browser and across native apps for Android, iOS, iPadOS, macOS and Windows. The catalogue is already substantial and growing: original fiction from our writer community alongside thousands of timeless public-domain classics, in English and German.
Because we curate the experience rather than the content, the platform is a low-friction place to make works digitally available, test new formats and reach readers directly — without the overhead of building and running the technology yourself.
Learn what readers respond to
Everything on OutaStory happens digitally, which means real, privacy-respecting reception data: how stories are discovered, how far readers get, what they finish and what they come back to. That is genuine market intelligence — a way to understand what readers want, to experiment with genres and formats, and to spot emerging talent early.
Authors keep their rights
On OutaStory, authors always retain the rights to their work. We see publishers as natural partners rather than rivals — for instance as a first port of call when a story earns a print edition — and we are keen to explore joint opportunities, including adaptations, on that basis. Nothing here competes with your core business; it complements it.
Let's talk
