For speakers

Lend your voice to stories — and get paid fairly for it.

Bring stories to life with your voice

OutaStory is a home for written stories — and a growing library of readers who would love to listen too. As a speaker, you lend your voice to those stories and reach an audience that is already here, waiting to press play.

You narrate the work of real authors, build a public profile around your voice, and earn from every recording you deliver. No agency, no middleman — just you, the author and a simple, protected flow.

What we offer

You narrate published stories and get a public speaker profile to show off your range — complete with voice samples so authors can hear exactly what you sound like before they reach out. The flow is deliberately simple: an author sends you an offer, you reply with your quote, you record and deliver the audio, and you get paid.

Every order is protected by escrow. The author's payment is held safely the moment the order is placed and only released to you once your finished work is approved — so you can start recording knowing the money is already there.

Fair, transparent pay

You set your own quote for every order — you decide what your work is worth. OutaStory keeps an 8% platform commission out of that quote, and the rest is yours (minus the usual payment-processing fees) — the author never pays more than the price you set.

Payouts run through Stripe, so your earnings land securely in your own account. No opaque deductions, no surprises — what you quote is what you are working toward.

How to get started

Speakers on OutaStory are currently invited and curated — we are growing the roster carefully so every voice on the platform is a great fit. If you are a narrator or voice artist who would like to be part of it, we would love to hear from you.

Tell us about yourself and share a sample of your work — just get in touch and we will take it from there.
