Eiko Wachholz has been a passionate reader since childhood – from science fiction to crime fiction to literary fiction. His favorite book? Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. At OutaStory, he brings his passion for stories in all their facets.
Eiko Wachholz has been a passionate reader since his first days at school, when he secretly rummaged through his parents' bookcase and devoured books that were actually "too early" for him. It didn't hurt. On the contrary: His enthusiasm for literature grew inexorably.
He studied German and English literary history, became a journalist, and yet always remained a reader first and foremost. For many years, he was an avowed science fiction fan, immersing himself deeply in the worlds of Philip K. Dick and Robert A. Heinlein. Later, he embarked on a crime fiction phase, then fantasy. Today, he reads across all genres—from high literature to Stephen King to "Treasure Island," which regularly lands on his bedside table.
His favorite book? It's hard to say. But "Heart of Darkness" by Joseph Conrad keeps coming back – a perfect blend of horror, high literature, and adventure that captivates him every time.
At OutaStory, Eiko brings his passion for stories – as a reader, journalist, and bridge builder between genres, worlds, and narrative styles.
