Priya Banerjee is a Melbourne GP and long-distance hiker whose adventure writing comes out of two decades of clinic work and a lot of solo time on the Larapinta, the Bibbulmun, and the Te Araroa. Her prose is unsentimental about both wilderness and the people who go looking for it. Carries a battered Garmin inReach and a suspicion that most travel memoirs lie about the food.
